Identification please

I planted these seeds last year in full expectation of Wallflowers. I think I may have mixed up the labels or something. What are the spiky things and are they going to do any more? Thanks.

    Brilliant, thanks Dove. I take it they will put some nice flowers out from the spiky bits?
    I'll have to take some pictures of the plants I have labelled as Sweet William because they're definitely wrong also.

    Yes ... and they’ll come back for several years too ... lovely scent ... the sort you just want to bury your nose in ... and lovely cut flowers ... they last for ages in a vase. 

    A dose of tomato feed would be good for them.
