Deadheading primula

I have some tall stemmed primula that I’d be happy to spread in the future. The blooms are starting to look tatty right now though. If I take off the blooms and the long stems, will that mean they won’t sow more for next year?

    Yes - the flower heads are the future seeds, so leave a few to turn to seed, and then see what happens. The existing plants will come back each year. 
    It can take a while for seedlings to appear though  :)

    I have already shipped some off. I put them into the bed will they still seed, or is it too late for those ones?

    The seeds have to form and ripen on the plant,  so, no, the ones you've removed won't be viable unfortunately.
    It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
