Looking for help in identifying these two plants, the first one I planted last and have lost the label and the second one just appeared because I never planted it !

    Is the first one prickly? It looks like a teasel.

    The first one is a teasel ... seeds loved by goldfinches. 

    The second looks like Hesperis matronalis aka sweet rocket ... gorgeous perfume on warm evenings. Great for pollinators 

    Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.

    Yeah that’s makes sense for the first one which is prickly , any idea how tall it gets, and now you mention about the second one I did have them in the garden but not in that spot ! Thankyou both that was very helpful.

    The teasels get to about 6’ here. 
    Gardening on the wild, windy west side of Dartmoor.
