Sargeants Rowan

Hello
My sargeants Rowan has had the leader branch broken off by a large crow.  It now had about 10 leaders growing so the tree is tulip shaped.  It is approx 2 metres high.  Should I prune the lower branches which are part of the 10 leaders.  I have been told that pruning will encourage a central leader but other advice says not to prune this tree.

I suspect pruning lower branches diverts energy to an existing leader but if you've lost yours it won't make one and, by definition, 10 stems or branches are a bushy tree and not leaders.

I would just keep an eye on it and prune out smaller stems that are crossing and rubbing on others as that will lead to wounds in the bark.
