Mystery Plants

These two plants have suddenly grown in my garden, could anyone help identify them please?

My guess is that they are weeds but wanted to check before I dig them out. The first is really tall, about 2.5ft.

    Thank you Pansyface! Bird feeders are just to the right  :)
