I'm a complete novice in the garden but love this palm like tree I have. I think it's flowering? What is it? Can anyone help me find out?

The leaves are sharpish thanks Bob.. and I've never heard of a coastline but will look it up thanks borderline. Ill add a better photo.

Looking more closely at the flower spike I think Borderline is correct with cordyline.
A trowel in the hand is worth a thousand lost under a bush.

Cordyline australis looks like it thank you all for your help.. just need to watch out on bad frosts with it otherwise it takes care of itself.
