I'm a complete novice in the garden but love this palm like tree I have. I think it's flowering? What is it? Can anyone help me find out?

Leaf tips look really sharp - yucca?

I think that might be a Cordyline about to flower.

Looking more closely at the flower spike I think Borderline is correct with cordyline.
