Australian Tree Ferns

Hi all,
I recently bought two tree ferns which have not yet produced any fronds and after doing some research online the general consensus was to keep it moist every day with gentle water spraying. While doing this I notice that the soil in which they are planted (in large containers) is always quite damp. Is this ok?? they are in shade. Thank you.

Have a look in the top. There should be tiny green buds by now. These will unfurl to form new fronds. If there is nothing, try pressing gently in the top. If it is soft and squishy it may have rotted. In that case I would take it back for a refund.
  • Hi fidgetbones, thanks for your reply. Yes on the top there are small green buds. Should I keep watering daily though??
