A perfect day for clay

After all that rain, this is one of the few days in the year that my soil is wonderfully workable. Just tap a lump and it crumbles like breadcrumbs.
If you have been similarly blessed, forget all other gardening jobs and rake over the soil. The window will close in a couple if days and you'll be back to the mattock!
