  I haven’t grown either from cuttings, I have grown hibiscus from seeds.

  Thinking about it, I’m not sure they take cuttings from wisteria, they’re grafted plants.

  You can layer a wisteria. Take a strong whippy shoot and pin it down into the soil, nicking the bit in contact with the ground. It may take a year to form good roots. Once it has good roots, sever the connection to the main plant and plant in final position.  I did this with a W. floribunda macrobotrys.  The new plant flowered two years later.

  Im glad you said it takes a year to layer, I layered something for @chicky last year and not sure it’s taken yet.
