    Evening all,

    I planted a clump of this a few years ago, and before long it began to spread.
    On a visit to the gardens of Floors Castle I noticed they were also growing it  .... there was a gardener nearby and I asked him how they managed to keep it in manageable clumps. He told me that they contained it within a barrier about 9ins deep. So this is what I've done (I used some wide dpc left over from building our house). It's a beautiful plant ... and I've just split a bit off to grow in a bog garden area I'm planning.
