I am lucky then . Mine hasnt done too much damage apart from completely stripped off every small twig and branch of three offending Lelandii so there was nothing else for for the clematis to "hold on to". It could have been a lot worse. He was stopped in time.
Well I’m going to make OH a specially nice dinner tonight as you’ve made me realise he is a gardening gem....his only fault is that he has no patience in digging up bindweed or ground elder. (He has many other faults mind you....)
I’m sorry Guernsey Donkey, I would be v upset too...
I guess I was lucky my wife never had an interest in the garden work-wise always admitted she could not tell the difference between a weed and a plant, but is always willing to give advice sat up like the queen of Sheba in her wheelchair!! 👸🏻😇 She did and still does enjoy gardens and flower arranging although no longer able to go out and cut her own, I make regular trips to our local florist with an order for flowers that if they don't have very kindly source for her.

Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
And what do I do? I listen and of course say yes in all the right places
Then go off muttering under my breath, only to get "I HEARD THAT" how did she hear that 😕 then just carry on regardless until the next time
