    Not at all! It’s a red robin (photinia?)
    From b & q or Homebase I think)
    it has flowered really well this year - we did have 2 more spaced along the border but they didn’t survive - no idea why!)

    climbing roses, cornus, and small willows all love the clay soil.

    Thank you nanny beach. Love the climbing roses idea and am going to get 2 or 3 I think.
    Small willows - would that be small trees?
