Orchid roots

hi,
does anyone know what’s going on with this orchid? Is there anything I need to do with it?

    I was wondering if that was the case! Very exciting. Would a cactus compost be suitable?

    I bought a bark mix formulated for orchids from the GC.  It's very different to cactus compost. 

    Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
