Which plants need saucers?
I’ve got most of my pot plants on feet to improve drainage, I know there are a few potted plants that benefit from a saucer especially if we have another hot summer. Are there any obvious contenders that would be better off with a dish? I’ve got Lillies, bananas, hosta, various ferns and grasses.

I go more by position, weather and ratio of plant size to pot size rather than variety. If the plant has developed a large root structure and is heading towards needing repotting, i would definitelyuse a saucer.
Most of those mentioned do like a fair bit of moisture, but you need to be vigilant about how long you leave a saucer under them. A combination of getting plants dehydrated well if they look a bit dry, but then leaving them alone until it happens again, and checking them regularly.
You can also put the pots in a shadier spot if possible, which will help prevent moisture escaping as quickly, especially if the pots are grouped together.
