new raised bed North facing...

Hi everyone, just looking for some advice on a couple of new beds I have made.

They are North & East facing, will perennials such as Rhudbekia's, Echinacea, hardy geraniums etc all grow well in that position? I have these in my South facing beds and they do great.

Thanks a lot

Are the beds going to be in deep shade?  As long as there is enough light the hardy geraniums should be fine, not sure about the others. If your existing clump are big enough, I would try to dig a bit off each and try some in the new beds. Nothing ventured, nothing gained as they say.

Try helianthus 'Lemon Queen' in the north-facing bed - a sunflower (a bit like Rudbekia) that can take some shade / not much direct sun.

Hi, it will be shaded in the morning but will get a good few hours of sunlight each day.

I'll look up the helianthus, thanks
