European fan palm suckers

Hi everybody, this is one plant… Have a look below there are three main stems but lots of these little suckers … should these be removed?

    No idea but if I bump this up maybe someone who does will see it 😊

    Wish mine had done as well. Bought it last year looked at it today and I think it dead. If memory serves me right they are clump forming so maybe it just doing what it should and forming a clump.

    Ok, I wondered if the 3 main clumps are enough and I shouldn't allow others to form.  Or something.  Just making it up now, I'm hoping on Gardeners World that one of them will focus on one of these ... YouTube hasn't come up trumps yet for me.

    Also - I forgot to say .. this didn't look as good a week ago.  It had many more leaves but most were spotty and dead looking.  I actually moved it in November last year with a little bit (not much) root damage - to a slightly less sunny spot and have pampered it since with lots of regular water and seaweed root feed ... about a week back I removed every leave that wasn't perfect from right at the base and whilst it looked half the size, it actually looks nice now!

    Propagation: Sow seeds in spring, barely covering the seeds with soil. Keep them warm (75-80°F/24-27°C) and moist. Palm seeds can take several weeks to germinate, so be patient. European palm is one of the few palms that readily produces suckers that can be cut away and potted in their own containers.

    Looking at the 2 trunks ( Left and top of pic ), they have been cut or broken and therefore you will find suckers coming from the base.
    You can try removing the suckers but they will grow back IME.
    The trunks aren't broken, but the leaves/stems coming out were cut a week back (just the imperfect leaves) ... doing this revealed the already-there suckers that you see in the picture.

    Perhaps I'll just leave them for now.

    Chamaerops humilis is a naturally clump-forming species ultimately attaining around 6'-8' in height (and probably in width too) :)
    I have the blue-form of this (var.cerifera) ; only four weeks ago planted it in my middle border with full sunshine and exposure to the elements .
    Mine too is producing side-shoots .
