They germinate very easily, but not the tidiest if Plants, that’s a good example in the photo, mine were all over the place.
If they don’t germinate, let me know I’ll send you some plants.

Just to add, someone sent the seeds to me via the seed swap, it was long ago now I’ve forgotten who it was, but they were called banana and custard I think, the plants that is is, not the sender😀

I had bananas and custard. The flowers a bit bigger and brighter yellow than the type. Sadly what seem to pop up now have reverted to type and are small flowered and pale yellow. I must get fresh seeds again. I do like Polar summer.

@lyn ... shall I start them off in a seed tray in the cold frame  and prick out into some peat pots I’ve found in the garage ... do you think that’d work ok?

I think so Dove. They’re very easy going.

    Cheers!  :)

A few gardens ago they selfseeded everywhere ... lots of paintings were done ... ;)
but the 'Arctic Summer' are really gorgeous ...@WonkyWomble said they were used as ornamentals in the walled veg garden at the smart estate where she was Gardener.
