Very similar to my approach to the cellar @B3 I stand at the top of the cellar steps and throw stuff down, no handrail and the steps are really worn and uneven so I don't go down there.Ā  Have noticed that there are a variety of ferns growing down there (I can see them through the frosted glass that now covers the old coal hole.Ā  Our gas and electric meters are in the cellar and the last bloke who came to read them refused to go down until Hubby had cleared away the cobwebs .Ā  Mind you it did look a bit like a scene from Indianna Jones.
@Amphibios thats a very creative way to use your plant.
