Skanky path as requested by @raisingirl Skanky other bit but with evidence of recent activity. Three month old rose/honeysuckle trimmings (composting) and this year's hanging basket display... Slightly overgrown pond. Red sled/watering trough for seed trays. š More recent activity. This is the view from my sunroom since Saturday. Digger boy removed a hideous Pampas grass leaving even more worser hideous hole with blue painted wall bits in, underside of giant juniper (?) prolly hiding dinosaurs and things, a grass heap that shouldn't be there but somebody lazy was mowing (more than once), juniper trimmings on........drum roll.....THE BANDSTAND! Oh and a dead larch size XXL. All this has nothing to do with me. I can't even drive a digger!Ā
What a beautiful space, Ā Iāve seen worse piles of stuff.Ā We have a lovely mess at the bottom of our garden at the moment. Could have done with your niece š the pond had been reduced to a 4 x 5ā space, and that was covered in lilies and other plants, Ā the sides had completely grown like raised islands, Ā the beach couldnāt be seen at all. itās now restored to its approx 12 x 8ā original size. Ā Weāre going to dig away a bit more off the length so peeled the liner back as you see in the 2nd pictureĀ

My pond is a death trap for the unwary at the moment @Lyn. It has very little open water and looks as though you could walk across it. You can't! Thankfully the sides are quite low so you can't just wander willy nilly and think it's part of the grass. Yours must be quite deep if your lilies are thriving. Mine started deep but the bottom is coming up to meet the top. 𤣠It's still a hive of activity and great to watch on a sunny day.
Feeling relieved that I moved house and don't have a pond anymore. Nervous of leeches and other wriggly slimy thingies that may live in it so not good at maintenance. But I have a small river on one boundary now which the grandchildren love and I don't have to do anything with it apart from a bit of mowing and strimming occasionally aound the bank.
I don't think your paving looks very skanky @plant pauper.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
Our pond looked like you could have walked across it, Ā itās the best time to do it though, tadpoles have all developed and gone, Ā frogs donāt need to live it in. Ā There was so much in there they had lifted and were sitting on islands,Ā

B3, I noticed your 100's and 1000's of sycamore seeds on the wall, patio etc area. Marvellous, you'll end up in the jungle. Wonderful use of letting nature take over and produce her things of beauty all around you. Top marksš¤š
@Liriodendron, Ā I like the practise of "I'll do it later" attitude, you have your priories rightš¤ If that's skanky @plant pauper I ain't showing you mine..š
