What on earth is this bug?

It matches the wood shade of my
cherry tree perfectly and has latched itself onto a leaf ( presumably ready to pupate).

Does anyone have any idea what it is?

It is the larva of one of the geometrid moths, but i would not like to hazard a guess at the exact species.

We have the same, devoured various plants including grape vine. Struggling to get an ID though as we need a face photo!

Willow beauty feeds on grapevine, and the larva looks very similar.
