Thanks @Guernsey Donkey2 My overactive imagination had them happily leaping about on the beach one minute, and then thinking "Hang on a minute, what's this dark brown stuff" the next 😁.
It was Eastleach House, down your neck of the woods Anni.
I enjoyed some of it but was underwhelmed by the Glasgow "garden". I think Glasgow District Council will be paying a visit as it looked out of hand to me. I was impressed by the garden built on six acres of rock and bog though. That must take a lot of upkeep, and I enjoyed Marks garden visit, although I forget it's name.
A mixed episode for me. Didn't like the two "nature " gardens. I don't think wildlife gardening and organic gardening necessairly have to be so unkempt.
Really like what Monty is attempting with that orchard meadow but could hear all the "Told you so"s from all over the UK when he admitted the stipa tenuissima was a mistake.
Loved Adam's visit and its owner's philosophy and the Nylands garden and Carol's were good too. Great gardens and planting schemes.
Vendée - 20kms from Atlantic coast.

That’s exactly what we said @Obelixx .....enough to give wildlife gardening a bad name.
but Nymans and Eastleach are now on my visiting list 😀😀😀
Much as I am a great fan of GW I have to agree with you both that the natural/wildlife gardens were more overgrown than I could put up with, having said that our garden is less than an acre so something their size would be overwhelming and likely to be a burden rather than an enjoyment, so rather than fight it's untidiness I would tend to leave parts of it to nature, now where did I put that Lemon Balm...?
