...your orange/pink rose is 'Westerland'... and you should give it some support and grow as a climber, as that is what it wants to do.. ..as they've done in this photo here..
..it's not a climbing rose as such, it's a floribunda rose that grows very tall and can be trained as a climber.. if you don't prune it.... I think you said you hadn't pruned the rose, so it's taking on a tall form, suitable for training on a support...
You could if you wanted, prune it down and keep it more shrub like... shaping as you go...
I saw Westerland in the Peter Beales Classic Roses Garden today and I'm pretty sure that Marlorena is correct. They advertise it as a tall shrub and they had it as a shrub, but they also had it growing as a climber. Gorgeous.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
@Marlorena I did actually prune it at the end of January (see photo from my second post in this thread), but asked whether I should prune again in May as it was getting very tall. As advised, I didn't prune it again and it hasn't got much taller since. As I say, it's in the wrong place to be trained to climb. That would be wonderful but I will keep it as a tall shrub for now, but maybe prune harder next winter so it doesn't grow quite so tall. Thanks for the ID and advice... good to know!
