ID this pretty pink flower

I seen this planted en-masse by a roadside and it gave a great effect. Pretty sure it's not red campion

    I think it's silene (diocia ?) also known as Red Campion.

    They do look like Silene Dioica, Red Campion to me.

    Pretty sure it is red campion! It's a bit beefier than usual, could be the growing conditions suiting it or perhaps just natural variability. (That said, there are a few named garden varieties https://www.cgf.net/plants.aspx?id=8&hid=6&genus=SILENE)

    I have red campion, and mine is much leggier than this one.  I agree that the flowers are almost identical, but I would have thought this one was more compact than mine.

    Maybe I was thrown by the size of it as it was on the side of a road!

    Wild flowers grow best in really rough ground,   It’s their job to quickly flower, and set seed so the worse conditions the better they grow.
