Vibermum's wilting

Hi, does anyone know why my vibermum is wilting, it's not dry, it's in dappled shade, I planted it around 2 years ago, so it's now about 3ft. Can anyone help?

Shrubs that wilt tend to be just the leaves or leaves of new growing tips. This could be due to extreme heat or even extreme cold. Wilting can also be an indication of dry soil, but since you mention it's not dry, I think it would be best to see a photo of the shrub and the base. It will help to identify possible issues.

Your plant looks well to me, but since it is quite a young shrub, the base needs to be kept watered. I can seen the base is looking fine, but the soil looks like it could dry out on the top 6 inches quite quickly. Think about laying a thick bark mulch to hold in more moisture.

They do well in semi shaded position, so if you have grown them in too much sun, you will need to keep an eye on it and make sure it is well watered in dry weather.

  • I've got a load of mulch to go over all the boarders which I do yearly. We are on clay soil, so it's quite wet down beneath,  it is in a semi shade spot up against the fence,  it normalli gets some late sun. Thank you for your help, its made my mind ease. Matbe its just the frosts we had a few weeks ago, I know it has affected alot of my plants.
