Libraria Fairy Bouquet

Never grown these before and then my little girl sowed a whole packet into a single container.  We now have hundreds of 🌱 Will we need to thin these out or can we just let them fight it out?

    Like any other tiny seedlings 'oversown' like yours have been , I would simply divide into small groups and plant into larger pots .
    I had to figure out what Libraria was , until Linaria sprang to mind . :)

    You had me fooled there for a moment!  You must mean Linaria Fairy Bouquet, which I have grown successfully in the past.  
    As with all plants, they do need some space to grow to their full potential   As annuals, these are not particularly happy to be transplanted, but you could thin them out as they get larger and each seedling (or little clump of seedlings) become easier to handle.
    When my son was little, he tipped a whole load of saved seed (in that case, Clarkia) into trough while I wasn't looking.  I gradually thinned them out  a bit (you'll never get optimal planting distance no matter how hard you try!) and we had the most amazing and colourful display.

    There are definitely too many plants. You might at least try to separate into small clumps of five or so to give them a better chance... I’ve scattered my seeds directly in the borders in the autumn and now I have plants in flower at around 30 cm high.

    Thanks for the advice and sorry about the confusion with the name!  Predictive text turned Linaria into Library and then my quick correction didn’t quite do the trick 😁

    i have a number of other pots to fill so think I will try dividing some clumps when the have grown a bit

    Sorry, all. There wasn’t any reply when I’ve started typing. I’m glad we think alike, though. I’m sure you’ll have a wonderful display, Racine. They are beautiful plants. I’ll surely let some of them self seed for next year.
