HELP please with Acer Tree

This tree has been here for over 20+ years and is a beautiful tree. It began to leaf up just before the beautiful Easter weekend weather and all seemed well. Then it became very hot followed by the severe weather of Storm Hannah a week later and the winds were very severe. The leaves on one side of the tree have all shrivelled and wilted. I have remulched, added more chippings and it’s already had food. I’m assuming this is a result of the severe weather. Do I leave it alone now or remove the leaves? Any advice would be appreciated. It’s been planted in the garden as I said for over 20+ years so it’s happy with its spot and nothing has changed. 0

Sounds like you're doing everything right regarding feeding, mulching etc. I'd just make sure it doesn't go short of water if we get another dry hot summer like last year. Hopefully this is just a small setback and your tree will soon recover to give you many more years of pleasure.
