@Posy Oh I know where it is coming from... It's exactly where you said .. over the neighbours fence. The neighbour has an overgrown tangled mess of a garden and there is a rose mixed in with it all covered in blackspot! I would love to rip it out will look at Sulphure Rose.
@Obelixx I don't have any horsetail but I will look up organic sprays such as the one you mentioned. I really would prefer organic as I want to be free of guilt each time I use it!
It depends how bad it is. Year after year a bad infection will weaken the bush and make it vulnerable to other problems. A minor case is mainly cosmetic.
@CraighB Bayer fungus fighter is one I know of. Comes in RTU and concentrate form.
So as this is a fungus fighter and isn't a combined product for killing bugs too, is this safe to use? Would the bees etcetc unaffected by using this?
I’d expect it to not kill the bugs. I got this from some books I’ve been reading on using the correct product for the problem as opposed to using all in ones. Similarly I don’t use weed and feed either. If at all, spot treat the bad offenders. However you’ll notice the individual products are quite a bit more expensive than the all in ones (albeit being the same)! crazy...
I've used a specific fungus fighter on a badly affected, right down into the stems attack of black spot and it worked really well, but I don't see the point of using insecticide when other methods are just as effective. The only insecticide I use is on ants that get too close to the house
