Peat-free compost for bulbs?

I've just bought some bulbs from Sarah Raven (in the sale, I hasten to add!)- dahlia, acidanthera, gladioli and nerine. I prefer to use peat-free compost whenever possible, but will this be ok for these bulbs if I add grit and feed them?   I will probably have them all in containers rather than in the ground.

    @Nigella2 HW Hyde, the specialist lily growers exclusively use Dalefoot compost (bracken and wool based) for their all their bulbs based on their trials. Similarly, have read this from various blogs  for vegetables. I haven’t tried this or any other peat free compost but intend on doing so for hanging baskets and grow bags this year.
