  Welcome to the forum @carolbryant3 It could be rose leaf sawfly  or maybe powdery mildew that's causing it, but a photo would help, if you could provide one.

  thank you for your help I am trying to take a photo but not very computer savvy!

  it is in the soil and has been for the last 6 years perfectly healthy.  It may be dry I will water it but its not wilting its just curling round.  Photo coming hopefully. Thanks for everyone' s help I am very grateful.
