Is this pot too small for me to re-pot.....

Would very much appreciate some advice on whether I can re-pot this plant, or will the new pot be too small given its roots etc. Thanks.

    I agree with Hazel PaulK. You need a bigger pot.

    The tree would be happier in the ground if possible, if not a pot about 20” across and depth. 
    Gardening on the wild, windy west side of Dartmoor.

    I'd also say the plant will be too top heavy for that shape of pot even if it did fit.
    If you can keep your head, while those around you are losing theirs, you may not have grasped the seriousness of the situation.
