Another weed?

Hello
I think this gets little blue flowers on it but I'm not sure. It doesn't seem invasive but then I usually pull it up before it gets chance to seed . Does anyone know what it is please?


NB the dead stem is from an evening primrose which I haven't pulled out as I can't remember if it might come back this year. 
No longer newish but can't think of a new name so will remain forever newish.  B)

    Might be some kind of teucrium?

    Can't quite make it out on the screen , but to me it resembles a Pulmonaria , or seeing the undersides of the leaves ...Ajuga ?

    having looked at pics of pulmonaria it could possibly be that.  Probably the best thing to do is to wait until it flowers and then see what it looks like.  It is quite prostrate on the whole, and as I recall it doesn't grow very tall at all.

    Could it be a Lithodora Diffusa?

    Hmmm.....as an afterthought , Pulmonarias are in flower right now ; the mystery deepens!

    PS  The Evening Primrose (Oenothera) is dead if it flowered last year ; they're biennials .
    Would be in full growth by now .

    My evening primrose seems to flower again. I think it might have just set seed later in the autumn.

    Having finally finished the weeding, here is a better pic. The plant seems to be ground cover, growing prostrate across the soil, and I find it has quite long thin roots that spread a long way.


    You can see it is quite furry, but no signs of flowers yet, though we are in Aberdeenshire
    No longer newish but can't think of a new name so will remain forever newish.  B)

    They now look more like Mouse-ear Chickweed, Cerastium Vulgatum.

    I agree, furry chickweed!  Good to know its proper name.
