My clematis is flowering well, but I've just noticed the leaves have a lot of greenfly on them.  Can I use Roseclear spray or should I just leave them and hope they don't do any damage?

    You could wash most of them off with a squirt of water from the hose and hang some bird feeders nearby. 
    At this time of year the bluetits are gathering aphids for their nestlings ... don’t want them to have their dinner laced with chemicals 😱
    Also if there are no chemicals the ladybirds will be around to eat them. This seems to be a good year for ladybirds so far and the ladybird larvae will soon be around munching greenfly 😊

    OK. Thanks.  I have bird feeders in a tree next to the clematis and blue tits visit.  I'll leave it a while and see what happens.  If the greenfly don't disappear they should prepare to be drowned in the not too distant future!

    You could squash some with a rubber glove on, just on the most affected leaves. 
    Problem with greenfly, they give birth to live young and they’re up and munching in no time!
