HELP !! Strange markings on turf

Hi

After i cut my grass a few weeks back i applied some aftercut all in one but didnt water it as we were expecting rain, then the rain never came and i didnt get to water it until about 7 days later.

As a result i now have this unsightly patching on my grass, i cant work out if the greener bits are the parts that aftercut landed on of the yellower bits are as a result of scorching because i didnt water it ??

Any thoughts and do i need to take any action to recover these areas ??

    I would assume the green areas are where you applied the Aftercut. You could try an experiment on a small area to be sure then take the necessary 'corrective' action next time around to get a more even growth.

    Thanks - I have some miracle Gro lawn feed that i was going to use over the weekend, maybe i will get some aftercut and try on a small area as you have suggested first, even spread is difficult, i was using an old patch magic container with the spout, but i guess i didnt spread as well as i thought

    Just shows the difference the fertiliser makes, can you see just applied in stripes though, very artistic.😀

    haha - at least its a good guide as to where i need to apply the next batch :blush:

    At least you applied it at the correct dosage, at this time of the year we will have people writing to say they’ve applied it and their lawns gone black.
