Help with Plant ID please!

Hi all,

Please can anyone identify these plants?

I think the second one is a Hebe but I would really like to know which type? I have no clue what the first plant is. I was walking past a neighbors house and saw them. I thought they were stunning!

Thank you all for your help as always!

1st is a rhododendron (which may need a dose of sequestrene as the leaves are yellowing)
2nd is a hebe maybe Pink Pixie ?

First one is a Rhododendron looking a bit in need of some acid food.
Hebes are very difficult to put names to, they are all very similar.
  • Oh thank you both @Pete.8 and@Palustris

Hebe is possibly "Great Orme" or "Nicola's blush". There are quite a few pink and white flowered ones.
    It's very pretty.
  • Thank you @AnniD . It is very pretty indeed! If the owners of the house has seen me staring, I fear they would have found me very creepy as I lingered and stared for a very long time before reluctantly moving on.

It may be that they know which variety it is. If you feel comfortable doing it, you could ask them.

I'm sure they'd not be annoyed at a knock on the door and a polite question being asked. They might be flattered that you like them so much?
Or a politely phrased note put through the door with your phone number?
    Devon.
  • Oh...I never thought of that at all. Thank you both for those suggestions. I might actually try it out. The hehe is definitely the one I would like as I figured if it could florish for them like that, it certainly would for me too.
