    That looks to me like a particularly gorgeous hellebore ... possibly an
    argutifolius type ... I’m no expert on all the different ones so hopefully someone will tell me if I’m wrong ... but I think it looks perfect where it is, set off to perfection by those lovely Forget-me-nots ... it certainly looks very happy there 😊 

    Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.

    Thank you Dovefromabove (great tab). I agree it looks magnificent there, but I have to keep cutting back a viburnum that is right in front of it, so thought I’d be better off moving it, but wouldn’t want to risk it if it might fail when moved.👍🏻
