Sungold tomatoes in a hanging basket?

Hi all, got about 6 sungold tomatoes going spare would they be ok in a hanging basket? If so how many to a basket? Any other tips? Please say if this is a stupid idea. Thanks

    I would say stupid idea😀 they grow to about 6/7’ tall and need staking.

    I have mixed them up with tumbling cherry tomatoes! Doh!!! No worries back to the drawing board

    Tumbling cherry are good in a basket, I’d only put one or two in to get the best crop, then feed well and extra water as any plants in baskets dry out quicker.

    Can’t you get some buckets from Morrison, they sometimes sell the ones they’ve had flowers in, poke a cane in and keep them for yourself.

    They really are absolutely the tastiest tomato 🍅 😋

    I have never grown them
    I have however, eaten quite a few from a friends plants in his poly tunnel 😇

    Yes! Funny that isn’t it,  but there are so many they just seem to need thinning out. 😀

    I am growing some in poly tunnel at allotment and some outside but still have too many as I like to grow 4 varieties every year. Got a couple of people who want my babies. Can’t bear to discard the “weaker plant”
