Acer has buds but haven’t opened :(

hi I’ve had an acer in a pot for a good few years with others in similar pots - they are ok. For this one we’ve noticed leaves haven’t opened and look dead. Any views. Old isn’t dead and when you snap Wood it’s green. See pictures thank you ank you

    Looks prefectly healthy to me, just that the leaves havent opened yet. Just give it time

    Agreed with @Jellyfire one of mine has just starting opening its leaves...some can be a bit late depending on conditions and variety.

    Hi there challenge is that the buds are dry and when you rub one they crumb away thx for responding

    That's concerning @louise.colley maybe they got damaged by frost? Keep watering and see if any other buds show up, without leaves the tree will eventually die.

    ah ok, agree maybe frost damage then. Id still just wait and see personally, if it is frost I would think it would send out new buds. Plenty of water in that little pot though

    Fab thanks - do you think I’d damage it if i repot now.
