Lacecap Hydrangea has some crispy leaves

Does anyone have any advice as to what is causing my lacecap hydrangea's leaves to start going a bit crispy?  There is no browning of the leaves, they just look and feel a bit desiccated.  No obvious signs of pest infestation.  I have been putting colourant on them to ensure they go blue, but I have also done this with the mopheads to the same degree and they're showing no signs.

    It's been a bit warm recently. Quite possibly newer and younger leaves are suffering a bit. Maybe post a photograph here just to get a better idea of what you mean.

    Have you recently had these plants put in or have they been in the ground for a while? They do look a little stressed which is normally due to under watering, or in too much sun at this time of year. If your soil is quite free draining, it will need more bulk put in to help hold moisture in.

    Strong sunshine combined with drying winds = not good news for any Hydrangea .
