Fuschias all seem to be dying after planting

    Pinch out now, as I suggested.  Just the very tips so a thumb nail will do.

    It does appear that these plants were intended to be grown as standards, re the visible label on one.  All the advice that has been given is excellent.  As I think it was Lyn who mentioned about 'three leaved' terminals.    Cuttings as such will provide a balanced plant.  In relation to standard fuchsias, there are also quarter and half standards.  These come about by way of how you grow them on.
    If I may offer some information about growing fuchsias.  Fuchsias must be one of the easiest of plants to propagate.  Taking cuttings, there is no need as with most other plants, to cut below a leaf joint.  Cutting root easily, however their roots are very fine, so care is called for in handling them.  They are an attractive and well loved genus.  In the event that you become addicted, then welcome to the world of the horticulture.  Best wishes.
