Can any one identify this beautiful shrub please

Hello. I have lived in my current home for 15 years and last year I undertook some major cutting back of overgrown hedges. I discovered a small shrub which I though was a rhododendron however it lost its leaves during Winter and is now coming into blossom with the most beautiful pale yellow flowers, please see attached photo. I would love to know what it is.

If you can't upload the photo, Eileen, try making it smaller. There are yellow flowered, deciduous Rhodos/Azaleas

Thanks, I hope you can see the photo now. I didn’t think it was a Rhododendron or Azalea but I stand to be corrected!

Looks like rhododendron azalea luteum also known as honeysuckle azalea. Should have a lovely honeysuckle fragrance.

Oh thank you Steephill. I haven’t noticed a fragrance yet but that would be a such fabulous bonus!

Thanks Muddle-Up, I’m looking forward to seeing it grow.
