Is it okay to move a mature 2M wifely now?

    @Alchemist, re the Potentilla, I'm not sure I know how old that one is, I've got 3 of those, the biggest must be at least 10 years, the one I've just moved about 7 or 8 I think, and the smallest about 3 years. They are all just coming into leaf, I have the impression a bit late this year?

    That's what I thought too KT53, especially when a patio was mentioned.

    Yes, it was a weigela, not coppiced as such, but I just cut it back to where there was a possible growth point. Can't remember exactly what time of year it was though, it was over 30 years ago!
