This has me stumped

I came across this little flower in the grounds of Constable Burton near Leyburn (N.Yorks) today. I feel I should know what it is but cannot bring a name to it. It was growing in a shady area. It was about 4-6" tall

    Try reducing size of pic 

    Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.

    Thanks, picture reduced, fingers crossed I can't understand why it doesn't upload, other photos I've sent have without any problem.

    Cardamine pentaphyllos ; a relative of the Cuckoo Flower (Cardamine pratensis) .

    I grow the white flowered Cardamine heptaphylla .

    Yes , a very unassuming genus . They set seed in midsummer , but you have to be quick to catch them as they soon drop !

    Have just been thinking about this previous post ; did you (yorkshirerose) manage to get any seed from this plant ?

    Hi, PaulB3, unfortunately, as  the gardens have restricted opening times for particular flowering events such as Daffodil and Tulips, I have not been able to return to get any seeds. I shall keep my eyes peeled for the plant in future and may have more luck in a different location.
