Tulip fire?
Hello gardeners. One end of my tulip bed looks smashing but the other end looks horrific. My dog likes to stand and bark at his nemesis on that particular part of the garden and he's right into stamping his feet too. Seeds fall into this area from the feeders above so there's always birds pecking around in there as well
. Is this damage mechanical from my army of flower hating beasts or from infection which could spread to the many other tulip beds? I underplanted with pansies and none of those made it in this area

of disease ... that looks to have been ’done to’ as far as I can see. It looks compacted too. I’d take everything out of that end of the bed, dig over ... incorporate some good compost or well rotted manure and possibly some grit, and replant.
I’d also move the feeders ... maybe keep moving them around so one area of the garden doesn’t get all the damage, or find a spot where the attention from the birds won’t matter.
And fence Woof away from that area until he learns it’s out of bounds.
