Henry Moore

Evening All, had a lovely day out with my little girl today at Henry Moore’s house/garden near Ware. Not a lot plant wise but lovely open lawns and lots of his sculptures around, workshops and paintings as well as the family home. Used the 2 for 1 entry from GW (which they allowed my child to make up the 2.) Picnic area, cafe and disabled access. Looking forward to returning soon as we didn’t see everything!

Its a long time since I last visited but it’s a great place isn’t it  :)

Really lovely! We didn’t see everything as we were pushed for time, so good reason to return. My little girl, who’s 9, said ‘ You know mum I think I’m beginning to understand abstract a little better now... I kind of get it!’ Mission complete! And ‘Mr Carson’ happened to be walking around too!
  • Coincidentally, I went to Yorkshire Sculpture park today, which has a number of Moore's sculptures in a great setting.
