Very sad she got ill... I don't always watch GW, so no idea if she's been back on recently...  I hope we see her at the Chelsea Flower Show...

Huge recommendation here for Buff Beauty ... healthy foliage, very free flowering, generous gently scented trusses of gorgeous blooms ... 🥰

(and it strikes easily from cuttings so you can have as many as you like 😉)

Thanks Marlorena and Dove, Buff Beauty it is.  You're right about the lovely hips Marlorena on 'Penelope', I leave mine on throughout the winter to give some extra colour on the wall.

I've just found and bought, because it Wa on offer and looks lush, minerva! It's a halfway: dusky and purple both of which I love!!!

@Marlorena I know you recommended this one to me before so when I saw it I jumped on it

+1 for buff beauty. Just a note I bought it as a climber for a wall. Although she throws up long canes they are not as pliable for trining unless you do it v.v early.note: It could just be me being unreasonable being used to bourbon climbers.

Delighted you got 'Minera'.. Ffoxglove... you'll love its scent... as with purple roses it enjoys moisture in the soil so best to keep it well watered at least in the first season..
