Lonicera Tatarica

I recently purchased two Lonicera Tatarica plants, which I potted up whilst deciding where to plant them. Since then I have discovered that these honeysuckles are particularly invasive. They are considered a weed in Scotland and in the US. Most of the information available advises caution. Birds disperse the autumn seeds further adding to the problem.
I live in open heath and farm land, but not wish to see this plant overtaking this beautiful area.  I would be very grateful for any information regarding this plant
