Hyacinth care in a glass vase

Hello, I bought a glass vase with 5 hyacinth bulbs that were really close to blooming about a month ago. The flowers are now dead & I trimmed them off. What I am really wondering is how do you take care of them once you trim it down all the way to the bulb since they are in a glass vase with all the root & in water. I am not finding any information that is helpful besides bulbs in dirt or outside. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

  • Is there another alternative, as we are selling our house & I would like to take them with us when the house sells.

Plant them in a pot and remember to label them.

  • I am assuming that I can't leave them in the glass vase then with the water? Probably a dumb question but I leave the roots as they are & plant them in soil & store them correct?

Yes. Plant them up and keep the pot outside.
