I laid a brick edge to my border that I thought was straight, but every time I go to the toilet I look at it out of the bathroom window and curse my shoddy handiwork. You don't notice close up but it does look rustic and old  :)

Had a look at the edging today. I wasn't impressed. The wires were rusting before they'd even sold them. The wood was like splintery matchwood.
Have decided on sleepers . Thanks all for advice.

Wise decision B3, have just been moaning about the log roll stuff on another thread about stone edging! The wires rust and snap, the wood rots, it sags with the weight of wet soil and weeding between the logs is a nightmare. Mine was a ‘that will do for now’ measure, total waste of money!

Will get some from wickes. The ones we got a couple of years ago have faded nicely. I was being lazy😐

Funnily enough, l was at our local Wickes this afternoon and thought l'd take a look at it. The wired stuff was rubbish at that branch as well. The solid stuff was okay, if a little expensive at £8 for a metre length, and l have seen it cheaper elsewhere but possibly not as good quality. You pays your money and takes your choice.
