Gala or not Gala (apple tree)

For sometime now I have been looking about for a Gala Apple tree.  After tasting the delightful apple from the local supermarket I thought I would try and see if I can find one to grow on myself.  Every garden center I have been in supply everything but that species.
I have looked online with regards getting it mail order however looking reviews and suppliers let downs i have decided not to that route.  Does any one have any information from where I may get hold of one of these or a similar apple of both the taste and quality of apple the Gala is
Many thanks

its not too late, you'd just get it in a pot rather than bare rooted, so its a lot more money to buy one
  • There's a wealth of varieties out there beyond the handful of commercially viable ones. I'd look for some weird and wonderful one's away from the supermarket shelves. One of the reasons why I don't understand why people grow elsanta strawberries who are utterly tasteless when so many varieties are readily available. If my inherited Bramley tree died tomorrow I'd plant a russet...but in the meantime, I'll enjoy the beautiful pink blossom and the crumbles and tarts 😉
