I was going to suggest white foxgloves!
White honesty is another good biennial for flowers at this time of year, and will self-sow.
Doncaster, South Yorkshire. Soil type: sandy, well-drained

If you have a bit more soil depth, liriope muscari would be good if you take a bit of trouble to get them established
